It's the End of an Era for the Fan Club!

Hi Jets Fans,

I've received some season ending news for the Fan Club that I need to share...

I got a call yesterday afternoon from the the General Manager at Peabody's.  He called to tell me that the new owner/landlord at the Plaza where P's and The Palms is located is unwilling to negotiate a lease for the Palms.  They've been told to vacate the Palms immediately.

Unfortunately, as of today, that means that the New York Jets Fan Club of Tampa Bay is homeless and we will NOT be having an official fan club meeting for the remainder of the games this year.

Peabody's itself will remain open in the future as they had negotiated a 20 year lease with the previous owner prior to the new landlord taking over.

I've been told that for the last two games of the season, if anyone wants to watch the game, we are welcome to sit in the Dining area that is just before the ramp leading into the Palms from Peabody's.

Where we will be next year is uncertain at the moment. We are officially looking for a place that can come as close to the environment we had at the Palm's as possible.  A nearly impossible task.

I am open to any and all ideas. If you or someone you know has a place that would like to work with us, please send me an email so we can begin the discussion.

It's truly the end of a great run for the fan club at the Palms.  As the saying goes, when one door shuts, another one opens.  Hopefully, this is the beginning of a brand new version of our fan club for 2018.

Thanks to everyone for all your support over the years. I look forward to many more years cheering on our Jets.

Warm regards, Happy Holiday and best wishes for a terrific New Year.
